AI4Industry is a project under the RETECH Programme – Line 3, promoted by the Digital Catalonia Alliance (i2CAT) and the Catalonia Digital Cluster (CLDI), with public funding aimed at activating the AI ecosystem and accelerating the digitalisation of the Catalan industrial sector.

AI4Industry’s value proposition is based on its ability to connect, energise, and activate the digital innovation ecosystem, promoting the practical application of AI in the manufacturing sector.

The project builds on the knowledge accumulated by i2CAT and CLDI in technology transfer, co-creation, public–private collaboration, and the mobilisation of companies around real challenges.

The initial industrial challenges are defined and validated based on the 2025 Industry Digital Transformation Barometer.

• Industrial companies seeking digital solutions.
• Technological startups and SMEs specialised in AI, data, IoT, automation, sensors, industrial software, etc.
• Stakeholders interested in forming consortia and exploring collaborative projects.

AI4Industry addresses these challenges through:

• a matchmaking event, connecting industrial companies with AI-specialised digital startups and SMEs;
• a set of co-creation sessions, where selected consortia will receive expert support to mature their project idea.
