The Artificial Intelligence Working Group of the Clúster Digital de Catalunya has already held three sessions since its launch and continues to attract participation and high-value practical use cases for its member companies.
This group, exclusive to Cluster members, was created with the aim of establishing a stable space for collaboration, sharing applied knowledge, identifying synergies, and promoting joint projects that accelerate the strategic adoption of AI across different sectors.
Since its first session, held last October, the group has brought together a total of 28 member organizations, reflecting the growing interest in artificial intelligence within the Cluster’s ecosystem.
Participating organizations include technology companies, consultancies, large corporations, SMEs, and academic institutions, providing a cross-cutting and complementary perspective on the real-world application of AI across various fields and industries.
The working group, led by Pablo Velasco from 5Skill, follows a clear structure: at each session, a Cluster company presents a real use case or leads a practical exercise, which is then discussed with the rest of the participants.
This approach makes it possible to:
The inaugural session on October 17 laid the foundations of the working group: participant introductions, definition of objectives, and identification of key topics to address.
Various AI action lines were discussed, including machine learning applied to the automotive sector, voice software for call centers, risk analysis in banking, and automation in ecommerce, among others.
This first meeting highlighted the diversity of profiles and the group’s strong collaborative potential. Several key conclusions were drawn, including the shared interest in connecting challenges and solutions within the Cluster itself and the intention to organize matchmaking activities.
On November 28, the second session of the Working Group was held, featuring the first practical case presented by Acceleralia. The discussion focused on agent architecture, governance, and the scalability of AI solutions.
There was broad consensus on the need to move from isolated functionalities to reusable intelligent capabilities, adopting an iterative, prototype-oriented approach before productization. The session also reinforced the model of a “Master AI” layer orchestrating specialized agents, along with a phased deployment strategy.
The most recent session took place on February 6 and featured The Etailers, which presented an artificial intelligence tool applied to marketing and ecommerce environments. The proposal generated widespread interest among attendees, particularly for its ability to integrate with the tools teams already use—reinforcing the idea that AI should adapt to existing processes, not the other way around.
Those interested in joining the working group can register for the next session, which will take place on April 10.
The session will continue consolidating the partner model focused on shared benefit, once again demonstrating that the group is not just a discussion forum, but a real platform for generating projects and partnerships within the Cluster’s ecosystem.
