The program is divided into five main modules, combining theory, practice, and applied tools:

  • Understanding the Context: AI Challenges
    Introduction to the social, economic, and legal impacts of artificial intelligence.
  • From Fundamental Rights to the SDGs
    Exploring the relationship between AI, human rights, inclusion, and sustainability.
  • Strategic Framework and Regulation
    Overview of the European AI Regulation (AI Act) and other relevant legal frameworks.
  • Tools for Ethical and Business Management of AI
    Introduction to self-assessment models such as the PIO Model and the fAIrLAC Guide from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
  • Case Studies and AI for the Common Good
    Real-world applications and best practices from companies and public administrations.

The program aims to reach a broad range of professionals and organizations who already work with AI or want to use it responsibly:

  • Public sector professionals: Technicians and managers developing digital projects in areas such as health, education, social services, or administration. They will gain tools to ensure AI applications comply with regulations and respect citizens’ rights.

  • Companies and startups: Organizations designing data- and algorithm-based products and services. The training will help them anticipate the AI Act, avoid legal risks, and stand out with an ethical and trustworthy approach.

  • Entrepreneurs: Women with a business idea or early-stage project who need training, mentorship, and support to develop, validate, and scale their proposal within the industrial ecosystem.

  • Digital leaders and innovators: Women looking to lead digital innovation in industry, offering solutions in areas such as AI, automation, the Internet of Things (IoT), or advanced manufacturing.

  • Students: Women pursuing STEM or industrial degrees or master’s programs who are interested in exploring career opportunities linked to the digital transformation of industry and tech entrepreneurship.

  • Change agents for global competitiveness: Women aiming to enhance the competitiveness of the ICT sector and digital companies in an increasingly globalized economic and industrial context.

how it works

The course has a total duration of 60 hours, equivalent to 2 ECTS university credits.

  • It will begin with an in-person introductory session on December 22, 2025, with faculty and students.
  • From the week of January 12, live online classes will take place every Monday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM for 6 weeks.
  • The course also includes asynchronous online content via the Moodle “Clúster Academy” platform, featuring downloadable materials, videos, practical exercises, and discussion forums.
  • Additionally, it offers tutoring and personalized support.
  • At the end of the course, a results presentation and lessons learned session will be held, including a final discussion and closing debate.
