The Clúster Digital de Catalunya leads the project Intelligent Observatories for Clusters based on advanced Text Mining tools

Rosa Porta,

The Digital Cluster of Catalonia coordinates the project "Intelligent Observatories for Clusters based on advanced Text Mining tools", an initiative that aims to boost business competitiveness through a tool that facilitates access to key information about the sector on a global scale.

The purpose of the project is to study the technical feasibility of integrating the latest Text Mining technologies in the clusters' Observatories, with the aim of enhancing the competitiveness of its members. One of the challenges of clusters is to be reliable and up-to-date sources of information for their associates, in a context with various sources of information and global contingencies such as the Covid-19 pandemic.

The promotion of tools that facilitate the management of changes and allow access to global knowledge of the sector is essential for business continuity. This project, financed with the support of ACCIÓ, has the participation of INNOVI, Aplicaciones en Informática Avanzada (Grupo AIA), Timtul Technologies and the L'Olivera winery as members of the consortium.

So, the scope of the project, taking into account that INNOVI (the cluster of the Catalan wine sector) is involved, is framed within the wine sector, but it will be treated in the most transversal way possible to leave the door open to possible expansion of the proposed tool to other specialized Clusters that make up the Cluster within Action network. Therefore, it is aimed at the wine sector and the companies and entities associated with the Digital Cluster.

The project has a cost of €86,618.26 and is part of the Line for Innovation Projects of aid for the granting of subsidies to initiatives to strengthen competitiveness for cluster projects (IRC).
