The Intelligent Observatory and the Cluster Academy will see the light of day thanks to the two new projects that the Clúster Digital de Catalunya has achieved in the last call for Ajuts a Iniciatives de Reforç a la Competitivitat (IRC) d’Acció this 2023 . In total, 7 companies associated with the Clúster Digital benefit from the aid of this call, in which 3 other clusters also participate. Both projects are coordinated by the Clúster Digital and will be executed mainly throughout 2024.
The 'New Advanced Tools to Support the Intelligent Observatory' project is a strategic initiative that reflects the Clúster Digital vision of promoting innovation, sustainability and collaboration. The Intelligent Observatory is prepared to generate a significant impact on the digital value chain, the value chain of the clusters and on the companies that participate: Clúster Digital de Catalunya, Clúster Innovi, Clúster Àmbit, Kid’s Cluster, Grupo AIA, Timtul, Vitivin and Ebantic.
The project comes from a first phase promoted thanks to the aid received from a previous IRC call. In this new call, the proposal has focused on developing advanced tools that enhance the capture, processing and exploitation of knowledge in specialized environments, using cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and in line with the vision of generation of shared value.
On the other hand, the 'Clúster Academy: E-Learning Platform for Generation and Attraction of Talent' project aims to build a space to promote continuous, specific, highly focused and adaptive training to the needs of companies, as well as to the attraction, recruitment, development and loyalty of technological talent. A tool, likewise, capable of facilitating the generation of shared value and becoming an agent of change while influencing the empowerment of companies' staff through training, improving the ability to attract female talent and, guaranteeing a minimum of training content on sustainability.
The Clúster Academy is the entity's bet to help tackle the recurring challenges that talent management represents, especially in the digital sector: the shortage of technical skills, the brain drain, the lack of training appropriate, the gender gap and the global competition in the search for talent. These vectors have also been endorsed in activities promoted or participated in by the cluster.
The companies Acceleralia, Eurecat and Fhios participate in the project, in addition to having the services of the external companies Dinamo Challenge and Roots for Sustainability.
Both projects are, therefore, initiatives aligned with the strategic challenges and with the purpose of increasing the competitiveness and/or performance of companies and clusters, since they are promoted through subsidies to initiatives to strengthen the competitiveness of member entities of the Catalonia Clusters Program. However, they work on aspects related to cooperation, identification and implementation of trends, detection and execution of marketing strategies, talent detection, among others.
